Ministry

Eden Mennonite Church was founded in 1915. We are a member of the Alliance of Mennonite Evangelical Congregations (AMEC).

Our purpose for which this Church exists and which every member accepts is:

  • To bring the lost to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ
  • To nurture the spiritual life of the believer
  • To encourage the involvement of memebers in the total planned work of the Church
  • To teach all ages the Word of God
  • Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

Ministries

Church minitries are both an opportunity to serve and minister to others and be ministered to, all growing in our faith and santification

  • J.A.M. - Jesus And Me, bus ministry and outreach to community
  • Music - Worship teams, adult and children choirs, adult and youth bell choirs, instrumentalists
  • Childrens Programs - Sunday school, Bible Memory on Wednesdays, monthly activities for youth, summer VBS, summer art camp
  • Bible Studies - Sunday school, Wednesday evening studies during the school year
  • Prayer Pals - Ladies group meeting needs inside and outside of the church
  • Missions - Focused on reaching out to the local community and the world at large to further God's kingdom and bring Him glory
  • Committees - Various committees within the church body meet needs of the church and community
  • Country Festival - Food, crafts, bake sale, silent and live auctions, children's corner

J.A.M. is a program to transport local kids to church for Sunday morning and Wednesday evening services. The bus ministry picks up and drops off children ages 3 years old and up. In addition to transportation, JAM is dedicated to providing meals to its participants along with a goodie snack bag to take home. For more information, please contact the church office.

Our Program

Worship

Our Sunday morning worship hour is at 10:30 a.m. Once a month we have our C.E. program on Sunday evening. During the school year, our Wednesday evening program consists of children and adult choirs, Bible Memory, and Bible Study groups.

Sunday School

We are committed to the teaching of Scripture. We have classes at 9:30 a.m. for all age groups beginning with age 2. Our purpose is to study the Bible to learn how to live.

Music

We recognize the value of music in worship. Our church choirs are committed to singing songs to the glory of God and to the leading of people in worship. In addition to the choirs, we have small vocal groups, worship teams, adult and youth bell choirs, pianists, and organists who are using their gifts in service.
